Saleh announces reelection bid in crowded Jersey City Heights Ward D 2025 race

Jersey City Councilman Yousef Saleh will run for his second full term in office next year in Ward D that is somewhat bigger than the last time he ran.
The Heights ward was expanded to include part of Downtown Jersey City in early 2022, a few months after his 2021 reelection, as part of the redistricting plan after the U.S. Census. The city’s six wards are reconfigured every 10 years to make them equal in the number of residents.
